The Signs of the Times

Really Look At It.

What is it Saying?  It is a Sign of the Times.

If you don't know the Context of this Picture, perfect!  We'll get to that later.  What do the faces say to You?

The Man in the center exudes Happiness, Defiance, Assurance, Peace.  He walks with Purpose, Head held high and a Determined Grin.  His physique is Commanding, his Attire is bold, he Fears No Evil.

Look at the man and woman who flank Him.  They are Actors, doing what they're told.  They look befuddled, at best, confused.  They seem resolute, but as if there's no other Option.  The Man in the Center seems to have Every Option.

Both officers look downcast, and even out of shape. You can somehow sense they are perspiring out of physical, and mental, AND spiritual, exertion.  Their minds are connected, far away, to the offices and desks and superiors who are scrutinizing every move.  But the Man Up Front, of course, sees every tiny detail in this moment of His Arrest.  It is inspiring.

What is the Context of this Message?  There is a Global, and Local, Uprising.  It may have started in Tunisia but it has Spread across the Globe.  Liberty Everywhere is being proclaimed.  The World has never known a History when WE are Free of Repression.  But yet W.E. all Feel that is worth fighting for, and now's the Time, or Never.  So WE are Imagining New Paradigms, visioning New societies, and striving for Peace and Justice in spite of sold-out corporatism, pesticide, and the elite.  

Specifically the Man in the Front is of indigenous Heritage, and is an individual component of a Worldwide Demand from the tribes of Native Earth for cultural, environmental, and spiritual respect to the Web of Life from which All Emerged, and which some have not yet Abandoned.  They are prophets of a Movement who declare that the Earth should be left intact for Future Generations, and that We must not live as though we are the last generation on Earth, or we shall be.  

The Man in front is part of a group of indigenous People who were forcibly evicted from a Museum that they had begun to Occupy, in demonstration of the fact that the site should be reserved for the culture of their People.  They were forcibly evicted by the local police in their area of Brazil.  The Brazilian police required the Area for a renovation of a football stadium.  Such are the priorities of the Brazilian government, and such is what the local Police are expected to do: upturn the interests of culture and heritage for the passing interests of sports and entertainment.  Why entertainment?  Distraction.  Because elsewhere the interests of indigeous Culture, and the interests of the Environment, collide with the goal of Development under this same government.  And Development, which is rape of Natural Resources, is precisely what threatens the world's largest River, the Amazon, in the construction of the Belo Monte dam.  The Amazon should be a Planetary Sanctuary to the Creator of this Planet.  It should be preserved forever inviolate, our ancient Rain Forest, home to so many brother and sister Species, an engine for Atmosphere and Planet-Wellness and a haunt of our oldest cultures.  A cradle of our Creation Mythos as a Race.  But we allow Cheap Governments which follow the Will of Corporations, Not People, to Hijack its Very Existence and will seldom give it back unless a very high Ransom is paid.

The Brazilian police are the everywhere Police, because everywhere the law officials are the cronies of a government increasingly Corporate, increasingly Destructive, increasingly Unaware, increasingly Unaccountable, increasingly Tyrannical, increasingly Out of Control.  It does not matter if one speaks of Egypt or Tunisia or Canada or the United States or Brazil.  The problems are different by Degree but not by Kind.  Everywhere, the Elite is threatening our most basic rights to Being, and everywhere there is Indignation and Uprising.  Everywhere there is Repression, Media Distortion, and incredibly High Stakes.

These are the Signs of the Times.

Perfect Pi

Today was called "Pi Day," because it was 3/14.  So I looked it up.  You know how long that Number goes on?  It goes on Forever!  That's Irrational!

What else is Irrational, and goes on Forever?  I could think of a Lot of Things.

But Today could not really be Pi Day, because Pi is not 3/14/13.  Pi would more properly be 3/14/15, as the first five digits of Pi are 3.1415, not 3.1413.  So at Best, today was sort of a Dress Rehearsal.  People Love Pi, so they Notice it Everywhere it Turns Up.

In Two Years I suppose that we can celebrate the REAL PI DAY.  The Perfect Pi Adventure!  I could Predict that it would Be a Great Transformational Day on the Planet!  You know, like 2012 was.
BUT BY NOW I HOPE YOU KNOW HOW THOSE PREDICTIONS WORK.
If We will gather Our Attention, as Humans, to a Specific Place or a Time together, all as One, We can Indeed, Change it.
The Notion that there is Free Will implies to me that there is Something Real at Stake.  Because We are the Only Ones who are Qualified to Change it.  We came to This Time for A Reason.   We all Know this and we Feel it Deep Inside...   there may even Be some who would deny that they do but they cannot deny to Themselves, in Secret.  So, are We not in Charge of This Time We are Given?  If we want PI DAY to be Another Great Transformational Day on the Planet, like December 21st and 23rd were in 2012... We can by all Means make it So!  If we Direct Our Minds to it, we can Choose the Day we collectively Shift the Planet into yet Higher Frequency.  After all, the Shift has been explained to me by my Teachers to be an intensifying crescendo of Consciousness that continues to rise beyond the specific dates we Focus on, but by planing and organizing together and building our Conscious link to the Clock of the Seasons, the Calendars of the Tribes, we can become Moving Forces in this field of gravity and levity known as the Cosmos, co-Equal with the Planets and the Stars and the Sun.

Pi Day will be 3/14/15... specifically at 9:26 in the Morning... a little more than 58 centi-seconds past the 53rd second (but whose counting?), let us Engineer another Exponential Rise in Consciousness, a Wave of Social Responsibility, and Personal Liberty, and Equality, and Sanity.  Let us Engineer a Mindframe of Courage, Victory, Alliance, and Unencumbrance, to take Place on that Date!  And let us Devote All our Minds to Evolving into that Mindframe in the Meantime.

A Letter to North Korea

Attention Americans: Please Send a Letter from America to be broadcast into North Korea:  These letters expressing our hopes and dreams for the people of North Korea are a powerful way to introduce to the North Koreans to what Americans are really like.  Please send a message from you to North Koreans (you only need to include your first name and city and state).  The letter will be read, translated, and broadcast into North Korea by the defectors run radio station, Free North Korea Radio.  Please send your letters via email to skswm@aol.com, and note in subject area "Letters from America".

Here is my submission:

Dear People of North Korea: I am a Friend you do not Know from across the World.  My Name is Kevin, I live in the city of Salisbury, the state of Maryland, on the Eastern Coast of the United States of America.  I am 28 years old, and I have just begun a Family of my own.  I am Young and I'm in Love, and tonight, I am thinking heavily about the World that surrounds me.  I just finished reading a Book about what Life is like in North Korea, as related by secret journalists who have snuck across the Tumen River, carrying information and sometimes refugees.  It is strange to hear about your lives in North Korea.  I have friends in many Nations throughout the World, and I am free to move about from Nation to Nation myself, if I please.  When I was fifteen and again when I was sixteen, I traveled to Brazil.  The idea that You do not have this same freedom of movement saddens me, as does the idea that your government refuses to let Americans into your Country.  I hear that North Korea's countryside is very beautiful, I hear that Mt. Paektu-san is lovely.  I would love to hike it someday.   I also hear that the People of Korea are courteous and gentle.  I met a South Korean girl when I went to college ten years ago and she became a close friend of mine.  I imagine that if I ever met a North Korean we would similarly be great Friends, but I know that this is very difficult.  I learned in the Book that I just read, that a large number of North Korean refugees have been reaching the United States lately.  Apparently there is a Church only about a two hours' drive from my house where North Korean refugees worship God together.  I am strongly considering visiting, despite the fact that I do not speak Korean.  I know a few words and phrases, but would have difficulty having a face to face conversation.   I am inspired by the idea that some within North Korea find the Courage to flee the controls which the Kim regime has placed upon your Sovereign Lives, and I would dearly like to meet a few of the Brave Individuals who succeeded.  If I ever discovered that this letter I am writing now reached someone's ears in North Korea, and helped convinced him or her to try to leave, and they succeeded, I would be enormously Happy.   I wish You the best, my Korean brothers and sisters.  We are not that different, we are very alike.  I know that you all care for your families as I care for mine.  I hope that my Children Inherit a World where everyone can be Friends.  And I hope that Your Children have long, happy, prosperous Lives where they are never Hungry, where they are Free to Worship whomever they Like, or Free to not worship at all.  I wish with all my Heart that Korea would be unified, that those of You who have families already living in the South, or even here in the United States, or elsewhere in the welcoming World, would see Your families again, and never have to part.  I pray for You, that Change may come to North Korea, that a few courageous People will realize they were born for such a Time as this, and that a Beam of Light would enter North Korea.  I know that the Kim Family teaches You that Life is horrible outside North Korea.  I assure You it is not.  This is not Paradise, and the Government certainly does have its problems.  But people are Free to criticize, Free to try and Change it.  I recently stood in front of the White House in a crowd of 50,000 demanding that President Obama reject plans to build an oil pipeline across our continent.  I am, in general, a supporter of President Obama.  But I don't think twice about telling him how I think he should do his job.  And I hope that You will one day find a Leader for your Nation who listens to You, rather than making You listen to him.   Last of all I would like to tell You that We are living in an exciting Time on the Planet today.  It is a shame your information about the outside World is so restricted, because I take great delight each day in scanning the news information from all around the World on the Internet, watching videos and listening to interviews.  It seems that late in 2010 a great wave of freedom and democracy started in Tunisia and spread across Africa, into the Middle East.  Maybe you have heard of the so-called "Arab Spring."  To see people standing up to their governments in parts of the World where this has been historically uncommon made my heart rejoice.  Then in the Autumn of 2011 I became involved in it within my own Nation.  I joined what is known as the Occupy Movement, and became an outspoken critic of the United States' environmental policies.  This has been quite an Adventure and we have seen our government respond in small ways to our criticisms.   I know that speaking out against Your government would be a far riskier adventure.  I may have risked arrest a time or two, but I was sure that if I had been arrested, I would have a trial and a lawyer, and my time would have been short if I was sentenced (which was unlikely) and I would have been back in society, a citizen in good standing, relatively quickly.  Maybe just a couple days later.  This, apparently, is much different than what can be expected in North Korea at this time.  Nonetheless, I pray that somehow Change and Dissent comes, so that when my kids and yours are grown, both walk in Friendship and in Freedom. How to FOCUS Pt. 2 - LOOKING

A fundamental Change in our Perception is Necessary.
Perception is Reality, so when we are able to Perceive Differently, we will experience Reality differently also.
It is possible to Shift into a Higher World by training Your Mind to Perceive on a Level that is Above this One.

There is no explanation possible for what this exactly means that can effectively be given to one who has not Experienced it.  All that can be said is, it is like being Able to See the Larger Pattern.

In the last blog Post on How to FOCUS, I talked of Listening to the Planet, detecting Meaning in Her Murmur, and I linked to a video which plays a recording of Earth Sounds from Space.  The composite Many Voices on our Planet create a ROAR, something which the Bible called "A Voice like Many Waters," and I believe through Meditation that same Sound can be Heard that they Record in Space, only, I believe that through Meditation, a Person can Decipher it.    Many Voices, a ROARING.  But a singleness of Meaning, an anguished and aggrieved cry.  The very cry mentioned by Romans, Creation groaning.  Listening to this translates downward into understanding for the smaller voices, too.  Every Conversation ever had is pregnant with Air, and Meaningful Silence.  To hear this as well as the chatter brings Insight Untold.

My Friends if you are having trouble comprehending what I'm saying about LISTENING, you will have even less luck with LOOKING.  But there are Some Who Know of what I am speaking, and it is for those Adventurers that I now Admonish.  I would like to Bear Witness to a Fundamental New Way of Seeing Things.  Have patience with me, and be prepared for a long post, for I feel that this is a lot to unload.

Every couple of Years I seem to modulate between being a Heavy Reader and being a Non-Reader.  Sometimes, I can't put Books down.  I check them out at times, by the dozens from my local library.  Other times, for months or even a couple Years at at a time, I avoid books like the Plague.  I sell my extra ones and I stop going to the library.  I still go to the Bookstore, to buy Blank Journals.  Because when I'm not reading very much, I'm writing prolifically.  And it seems to me that this is a fair trade-off.  Eventually I acquire enough thirst for a new book that I pick one up again, and if its really good, it triggers a reaction to read more on that subject or something related.  And then I decrease how much I write (though I don't stop) and my Brain seems to belong to an entirely different version of Me.

I have noticed that reading a Book affects me in many ways.  If it is fiction, I enter into the story.  If it is non-fiction, I end up wanting to be involved in the action.  A spiritual synergy definitely evolves between me and the Book I am currently reading, and this is in direct proportion to how "good" the Book really is.  And when I say that a spiritual synergy evolves, I am speaking of a very definite thing.  I am not just referring to the way that books grip us.  I am speaking about being transformed by the work of a good writer.  I am speaking about being so responsive to new information that one is able to adapt their worldview to admit the fresh angle.  I am talking about being able to read an argument and being able to see how the author's perspective furthers your own by adopting the slightest different scope, or frame of reference, or point-of-view.  I am not speaking of being an uncritical or gullible reader; neither am I speaking of being a stubborn dogmatist who mentally argues against contrary perspectives the entire time he or she is reading.  I am talking about being non-attached ENOUGH to one's perspective that they are able to confront new information with appropriate judgment and get a little smarter every time.  It is ONLY by this process of thought and acceptance -- which comes of being grateful for new perspectives, not wary of them -- which enables Books to make us wiser.  Read improperly, reading a Book can actually make someone less knowledgeable.  I believe that may be an unfortunately common response found in the U.S. population.

It is exactly this same Logic which applies to Focusing on LOOKING.  The Human Mind is Changing.  We are becoming more dependent on technology and shifting our attention to more of the virtual, less of the physical, Universe.  A re-invigoration of our means of perception is necessary: we should be told how to listen and how to look at things afresh.  If we can borrow the imagination of a Child and listen to him describe things without the accumulated bias of age, or if we can cultivate the childlike Mind in ourselves, we will have an advantage.  But if this in itself is not possible simple Exercises will suffice to show us how to Look Wider, and See Deeper, and to Penetrate into that Part of Seeing which is so Perfectly Seeing that is itself very close to being Understanding.   There is a REALNESS to What is Before Us which has almost nothing to do with Space or Time... only, Many of Us do not See it, because we do not comprehend Its Pattern.

It is related that when the Ships of Columbus were within sight of the shoreline of Hispaniola that the Natives could look right at the Ship and not see it.  No paradigm existed in their mind with which the physical stimuli of the sight would fit.  It took a Shaman, who practiced alternative ways to See, to show them what existed plainly before their Eyes.  There is a similar phenomenon going on today.  A Fabric exists, which many a Mystic has seen and written about, and which every person, when it is described to them, seems to remember clearly seeing themselves as a Child.  If one squints their Eyes in the Right Light, they will likely still see it.  Hexagons emerge, and fractals and the Golden Mean, Fibbonaci numbers and double-helix patterns, auras and little streaks that look like tiny streams of really fast light zooming past in parallel lines, seemingly creating texture in the Invisible Air.

To insist that these are just Tricks of the Light or of your Eyes is not giving You very much credit.  Scientists have confirmed that patterns such as what you have seen do indeed occur, in great profusion, throughout nature.  Although you are not able to see microscopic particles in the air, you may very well be actually able to dimly perceive the pattern of Motion through the air which is caused by microscopic, or perhaps just very thin, trans-dimensional entities that suspend themselves through the Air.

Believing, or at least conceptualizing, the Air around us as Empty, has led to many faulty conclusions in Human Logic.  When objects are suspended in Water we are quick to think of them as touching, even if they technically aren't.  We can move our hands through Water and see many patterns emerge from the Movement.  We are less able to see these patterns in the Air, but they are surely there nonetheless, and many other patterns of things invisible.    These patterns connect all things.  Recognition of this fact is found in the idea of the "butterfly effect."  Even the beat of a butterfly's wings could conceivably create a tsunami somewhere else on the Planet.

Thoughts are invisible, but does that mean they are stored in our heads?  Perhaps in reality they hover above us.  Perhaps bits and pieces of them get snagged on the auras of plants, animals, and people we have spent time around.  Perhaps a small bit of transference occurs.  Perhaps a large amount of transfer occurs.  We do not know, we do not have the instruments to say for sure.  Not yet.  But as Humanity creates the Computing Cloud, think on all the other Human Inventions that have mimicked Nature, and we didn't even necessarily always know it at the time.  I believe a Reality that consists of Interwoven Thoughts, personal Intentions and Ambitions, Prayers and Drives, fills the fabric of our Air and is all much more connected than you could believe.  Hold a strong, positive intention for several weeks.  Try to keep it untarnished by negative thoughts of any variety.  You will see that your very thoughts have probably produced profound changes for you.  If they have not exactly fulfilled your positive intention, they will at least have transformed your understanding of your real needs in a way that can lead you to better appreciation for your life.  This process of Attractive Thinking is itself a gateway towards a New Way of Focusing that involves a Deeper Layer of Seeing.

I believe You can come to See events that happen in Your Life as microcosmic indicators of the Macrocosmic Purpose.  I believe You can divine the Will of your Higher Power at work in the Affairs of Nations if you can live in conscious Communication to your Source.  I believe You can learn to see the Interconnecting Bands of Light that Tie your Private Universe to the Collective Universe we all Inhabit if you will FOCUS on the Strong Positive Intention and a Belief in Interconnectivity.  The Universe is Programmed to Bless You, but only in Proportion to your willingness to Bless the Universe.  The More you allow this Empathy to Grow within You, the more You Yourself will be able to Influence the Growing.

Put your Moral Weight and your Conscious Solidarity behind a Righteous Cause.  Dwell on the victories, the strategies, the problems, the solutions, of the Campaign your Heart Takes You On.  You will soon find that when You Set Your Jaw and you Level Your Shoulder, the Weight you are Wielding is Immeasurable.  You will have an Effect you cannot dream of Having.  A little Bird will carry your Most Mundane Word into the Four Corners of the Wind, and You Will Speak Whole Worlds into Being.

Most Powerful of all our Strengths as Humans is the Power of Speaking the Right Things into Being.  What we Dream, we Do.  So Dreaming itself is a Resource.  And Seeing Deeply into your Impact, FOCUSing and LOOKING Widely, for the big picture, for the Interconnection of Events, and for the relationship between Microcosm and Macrocosm, is your Step towards Changing more than you can Realize.

In God We Trust

I have a hard time Believing that Life can be defined very much by Money.
It seems to me, that having it doesn't seem to enrich Life.
Being deprived of it doesn't seem to dampen the Spirit in Life.
Working hard to get it doesn't always seem to work (though sometimes it does), and there is definitely a mode of "working hard for Money" which may be good for the bottom line, but is absolutely repugnant to the Soul.
No one wants to be stressed, no one wants to be worried, and no one wants to be anxious in Any Thing.  yet anytime anyone makes Money the Focus, they seem to become all these things.  Why are we creating Lives that are less Noble than the ones We really Want?

The Universe is a Conspiracy, and it is programmed to Bless You.  You have a Benevolent Father and a Benevolent Mother and You are Designed to Succeed.

So if You find that You have some Money, use it well, but Value your Dreams, not your Dollars.  Invest in Your Self, Invest in Your Family, Invest Time and Energy and Space to Grow the Garden that You Love.
Rest assured, the Earth will Provide for the Fruitful.  You will Always Have what You Need, little Flower.  Change & Grow.

Money itself is Not Sustainable.  It will Fade Away, it will dry up & wither & burn.
These Economies will yield to Different Economies, and just What Matters Will Remain.

In God We Trust?
Build Your Life on God and Trust.
Do not Trust Him for Money,
but Trust for the sake of how Good it is to Trust,
Trust because it is Your Nature,
because You're a Hopeful Plan(e)t.
And though the Stars are shaken,
You'll Remain.
